Casual Glam

Still loving MK's oversized Miu Miu tye-dye clutch. For years I have been trying to get my hands on it on ebay, and finally I see a light at the end of the tunnel: although I still haven't been able to find that exact one, Miu Miu is bringing out oversized clutches this autumn. In a variety of materials (leather, suede, velvet, mmmmmm) and colours, it will be hard to pick one. Or two.

Space to think

Alex Wang Studio, New York

“We have very high ceilings and all this light, and it’s a place where you can have big ideas.”
- Natalie Massenet, "Lunch with the FT" article

Large rooms with plenty of natural light and sleek interiors are exactly what I love as an office space. One needs space to think, much light to be bright, and not too much clutter to have big picture ideas.

Closet Confidential: How to pick a men's shirt

I adore Men's Shirts - they are incredibly practical. Wear them casual with a pair of skinny jeans, belted to the beach, or simple to bed. In my opinion white or light blue is the most easily convertible, as they don't scream masculinity, as well as being sophisticated, sharp and clean.

There are a few things you have to learn about picking the proper men's shirt however.

You are not allowed to buy cheap/bad quality. I'm not saying they absolutely have to be Ralph Lauren, Tom Ford or from Savile Row, but if you opt for Target you WILL look like you are on a walk of shame.

Different situations call for different materials (for the beach something light is nice, like linen or thin cotton; for bed I like starched shirts), but the characteristics each shirt absolutely has to have are:
- long sleeves
- wider spread collar
- subtle stiches
- nice buttons
- breast pocket

Wear with lacy underwear and you'll feel extra sexy.

Enjoy.

Cock your hat - angles are attitudes

Maison Michel spring/summer 2011

I love headdresses. Boaters, Sailors, Panama, Melons, Bérèt, Beanies, Bowler, Floppy, Fedora, Trilby, Cowboy and of course the Top hat. Crowns, Ribbons, Chains, Headbands, Flowercrowns, Braids, everything.
The craftsmanship of Maison Michel's products is stunning. I love how each different one of their headdresses allows you to take on a different personality, ranging from coy to sexy, boyish, adventurous or elegant.

The beauty is in the early hours

I've been getting up at 6am these days.

I like the world that early in the morning.
Everything is still sleepy and quiet.

People aren't chattering down their phone,
complaining to their friends
laughing too loud.
Nobody needs to proove anything just yet -
how important they are, how wild, how clever, how whitty,
how sexy, how cool or anything.
Nobody is preaching in the streets
and if there's music in the air it's usually quiet and calm
or friendly and uplifting.

It's an alltogether friendly place.
No rush, no haste.

Summer Morning Soundtrack

Get a playlist! Standalone player Get Ringtones

Strolling down the streets, one step after the other.
marvelling at the buildings
noticing robots on streets
faces in windows

Sun shining on my face, a breeze blowing through my hair.
Sunlight reflecting of my silver rings
Fingers cluthing a cup of tea
a smile on my lips

Good morning World
Good morning NYC
Good morning street and tree and people who walk by me
